Marlon received his BA in Political Science and a MA in Sociology from Stanford University, where he competed on the football and track & field teams. After graduating from Stanford in 1997, he spent one year pursuing a career in the NFL, signing as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. Marlon first encountered All Stars as the Director of Partnerships at the KIPP Foundation. Through All Stars' support of KIPP, Marlon was able to experience firsthand the "power" of All Stars. In January of 2006, Marlon joined the All Stars team as the Executive Director. He is charged with increasing All Stars' sphere of influence beyond the San Francisco Bay Area via recruitment of athletes and sponsors, as well as establishing systems, processes, and programs that support national expansion. In February 2009, Marlon was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. He also serves on the National Board of Directors of Sports4Kids.

Anika was able to transition her knowledge from the for-profit world to Jazz at Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit arts organization, in which she handled corporate fundraising and corporate sponsorships. In her spare time Anika enjoys traveling to the far corners of the world, and in 2007 spent the summer teaching English in rural Panama.
