Sarah Bennett, Communications Manager-

Sarah received her BA in English Literature from Oberlin College in
2004. While studying at Oberlin, she also competed on the cross country
and track & field teams and tutored second graders at a local elementary
school. Developing a keen interest in social issues, she was inspired
to study journalism at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She
received her MA in Broadcast Journalism before moving to the Bay Area
in January 2007. Before joining All Stars, Sarah was a freelance news
writer at KTVU, a TV station in Oakland.
Anika Dill, New York Regional Program Manager -

Anika joined All Stars in May 2008 as the New York Regional Program Manager and has brought a diversity of experience from both the sports and non-profit industries. An alumnus of New York University, Anika began her career in New York at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Entertainment where she solicited and executed corporate and marketing partnerships for properties such as College Basketball, World Championship Boxing and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Anika was able to transition her knowledge from the for-profit world to Jazz at Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit arts organization, in which she handled corporate fundraising and corporate sponsorships. In her spare time Anika enjoys traveling to the far corners of the world, and in 2007 spent the summer teaching English in rural Panama.
Marlon Evans, Executive Director -

Marlon received his BA in Political Science and a MA in Sociology
from Stanford University, where he competed on the football and
track & field teams. After graduating from Stanford in 1997, he
spent one year pursuing a career in the NFL, signing as a free agent
with the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. Marlon first
encountered All Stars as the Director of Partnerships at the KIPP
Foundation. Through All Stars' support of KIPP, Marlon was able
to experience firsthand the "power" of All Stars. In January of
2006, Marlon joined the All Stars team as the Executive Director.
He is charged with increasing All Stars' sphere of influence beyond
the San Francisco Bay Area via recruitment of athletes and sponsors,
as well as establishing systems, processes, and programs that support
national expansion. He currently serves on the Board of Directors
of KIPP Heartwood Academy in San Jose.
Joy Hemp, Bookkeeper -

Joy is our veteran All Star as she first joined the organization as
its Bookkeeper in 1997. Joy is the Registration/Finance Chair for
the Women Seeing Beyond Today conference in South San Francisco as
well as the Bookkeeper for several other Bay Area non-profits including:
Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San Mateo County, Geohazard International,
Marion Woodman Foundation, Champion Charities, and California Stormwater
Quality Association.
Billie Anne Holmes, Events
Manager, San Francisco -

Billie is the Events Manager, managing event
execution & logistics for San Francisco Bay Area fundraising events.
She brings over ten years of experience in sales and event planning
to the organization. Originally an east coaster who received her BS
from Sacred Heart University, Billie migrated out to California and
has been a leader in the community ever since.
Jessica Louie, Program Associate -

Jessica earned her BA from Stanford University in Human Biology with a focus in Child Health and Development. During her years at Stanford she competed for the varsity women’s gymnastics team and volunteered with Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative mentoring and inspiring young girls in low income communities to exercise their bodies and live a healthy life style. After getting a taste of the nonprofit world she decided to jump in head first and joined All Stars in 2008.
Ron Yu, Senior Program Officer -

Ron joined All Stars at the end of 2006 and has made an immediate
impact as the Senior Program Officer. He graduated from Stanford University
and completed his MBA / MEd from the University of Washington. Ron
comes to All Stars with a mix of experience from the business and
non-profit worlds. He has over 7 years of experience teaching in the
public school system, guiding the leadership development program for
an education foundation, and evaluating investments with a non-profit
venture fund. He also brings 8 years of experience from the consulting
and technology start-up worlds. He currently serves on the Board of
Directors for KIPP Summit Academy and KIPP King Collegiate High School
in San Lorenzo, CA.
