How He's in the Game
Through his personal foundation, Ovie Mughelli has emerged as a leader in environmental education for children. Committed to helping youth develop mentally, socially, and physically and to encourage them to become active, conscious members of their communities, the Ovie Mughelli Foundation is changing the lives of children throughout the Atlanta region. In its history, it has implemented a broad range of progams, from football camps to its Green Speakers Series, to its Blocks for Benefit fundraising campaign.
Moreover, Mughelli is one of the Falcons’ most committed players when it comes to their community outreach initiatives. As a part of the team’s Extra Yard Partnership Program, Mughelli has donated over 400 tickets and t-shirts to local nonprofit organizations during his time in Atlanta. With such an impressive record of Service, Mughelli is a man whose passion on the field is only exceeded by dedication to the youth and our environment.
About Ovie Mughelli
After attending Wake Forest University, Mughelli was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. After making a name for himself as a dependable blocker, he moved to Atlanta, signing what was the largest contract for a fullback in league history at the time. He was an All Pro selection in 2006.
