How He's in the Game

Brandon Webb is passionate about assisting chronically and critically ill children, so he reaches out to hospital patients in all corners of Arizona. Hoping to make a difference and improve the quality of these kids’ lives, Brandon founded the Brandon Webb K Foundation in 2004. After creating the foundation, Webb took his efforts a step further and created Brandon's Locker, which distributes comfort items, toys, movies, laptops and video games so children in local area hospitals are able to have something fun to take their minds off their illnesses or injuries.

Webb’s philanthropic endeavors off the field have paralleled his success on the field. A very strong pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, he has been selected for the National League All-Star Team in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and has received the D-Backs Roberto Clemente Award for his charitable spirit.

Webb has a unique opportunity to give back to the community in which he plays. He does not just give through monetary contributions; he gives his time because he wants to see smiles and bring joy to children who otherwise may not have a lot to be joyful about.
