We find and evaluate nonprofit groups based on their people, programs and processes.
We pool capital and then diversify our investments through a number of startups. This amplifies your support and mitigates risk.
We evaluate our grantees based on agreed-upon milestones.
Give your capital to us. We'll invest it wisely and leverage your contribution as we support these organizations.
Connect your network to our grantees and help them improve.
You have the skills and expertise our grantees need. Help them solve problems, build capacity and change lives.
We invest $25,000 of unrestricted funds and renew grants for up to three years. Our program links your nonprofit with appropriate resources to help you grow. Learn best practices to ensure your work is sustainable and impactful.
Our next grant application cycle will open in Fall 2021
All Stars Helping Kids was created in 1989, when NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott gathered his friends for a dinner to benefit the local community. Astounded that he had raised $100,000 in one night, Ronnie and his wife, Karen, invested the money in several nonprofits fighting poverty in the South Bay.
Since then, ASHK has used this simple formula of raising money and redistributing it to create opportunities in education, health and life skills for disadvantaged youth.
“Life is about the calling to serve, to help another human being. When you help them, that makes you a better teammate. An All Star can be anyone!”
“For more than 15 years, All Stars Helping Kids has supported patients and their families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. We are deeply grateful for their longtime friendship and are honored to see their name on the entrance to the Music Therapy Recording Studio in our new children’s hospital in Mission Bay.”
“We would not be where we are today without Ronnie and Karen and All Stars. They were one of the few people who really took a leap of faith with us in the early years.”
