All Stars collects information about Users of the All Stars Websites in order to process grant applications, provide electronic information services, and process donations. By using the All Stars Websites or providing personal information to us you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the All Stars Websites. The following list describes the different types of information All Stars collects via the All Stars Websites:
(A) Personal Information
“Personal Information” is defined as information that would allow someone to identify or contact Users (i.e. Users’ names, organizations, addresses, and email addresses). Personal Information does not include aggregated information or information about Users that, by itself, does not permit the identification of individual persons. For example, statistics about how many persons visited the All Stars Websites last month is not considered Personal Information.
All Stars may collect Personal Information when Users interact with the All Stars Websites in the following ways:
- apply for grants or check on the status of grant applications
- make donations through the All Stars Websites via All Stars third-party provider partner
- sign up as subscribers to electronic information services
- make changes to their subscriber profile information, or
- send messages, forms, or other information to All Stars via email or the All Stars Websites
When Users apply for grants, they must provide All Stars with Personal Information such as name and title of a contact person, organization name, address, telephone number, fax number, and email address, and a brief statement outlining the organization’s need for support. When Users choose to make a donation through the All Stars Websites, information required to complete the donation (including any or all of the following: name, postal address, email address, credit card number, phone number, fax number, plus information about the donation, such as amount, program, and dedication) is gathered. When Users sign up as subscribers to electronic information services, make changes to their profile, and/or communicate with All Stars via email or the All Stars Websites, All Stars may ask for Personal Information, such as email addresses, to allow All Stars to create Users’ accounts, respond to Users’ questions, or contact Users regarding their accounts.
The All Stars Websites may use “cookies” and/or web beacons. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on a User’s hard drive and not on the All Stars Websites. Cookies allow Users to log in without entering Users’ log in information each time Users use the All Stars Websites. Cookies help All Stars understand how subscribers use the All Stars Websites, which allows All Stars to improve and tailor the All Stars Websites. Users may not be able to use the All Stars Websites if they disable cookies. Web beacons are small, graphic images on web pages, web-based documents, or in email messages that allow us or to monitor who is visiting the All Stars Websites or if the email has been read. Web beacons collect the IP address of the computer that the web beacon is sent to, the URL of the page the web beacon comes from and the time it was viewed. Web beacons may be linked to your personal information.
(B) Nonpersonally Identifiable Information
“Nonpersonally Identifiable Information” is defined as anonymous information about Users that does not include Users’ names or contact information. Examples of such aggregated data would be IP addresses, browser types, and access times. All Stars may use this information to customize the All Stars Websites for Users and may not include or refer to Personal Information, such as Users’ email addresses, when using this type of data.
(C) Aggregated Information
“Aggregated Information” is defined as information All Stars gathers by aggregating Nonpersonally Identifiable Information to provide summaries of use of the All Stars Websites. All Stars uses Aggregated Information to show usage patterns and to do such things as negotiate with vendors of Internet services. Such Aggregated Information is not linked to Users’ Personal Information.
(D) Third Party Collected Data
All Stars may allow third parties to use web beacons on the All Stars Websites to collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to the All Stars Websites and to monitor the effectiveness of advertising, if any.
Disclosure of personal information
All Stars may disclose Nonpersonally Identifiable Information and Aggregated Information about its Users, but that information does not contain Personal Information. We reserve the right to disclose Personal Information to comply with governmental requests and/or investigations and/or valid legal processes such as search warrants, subpoenas, or court orders. Unless specifically stated, All Stars retains the right to identify donors by preferred name in all marketing and sponsorship materials. If a donor wants their support to remain anonymous and kept from publication, they must indicate so at the time of their donation.
Copyright in the text materials contained in the All Stars Websites is owned by All Stars. These text materials may be used, downloaded, reproduced, or reprinted, provided that this copyright notice appears on all copies and provided that such use, download, reproduction, or reprint is for noncommercial or personal use only. The text materials contained in the All Stars Websites may not be modified in any way. Copyright in the photographs, illustrations, artworks, and other graphic materials are reserved to All Stars and/or the copyright owners (licensors). Prior permission to use, download, reproduce, or reprint any photograph, illustration, artwork, or other graphic material must be obtained by the copyright owner, regardless of intended use.
Privacy protection for children
In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, All Stars shall not knowingly permit persons under the age of 13 to provide Personal Information to All Stars through the All Stars Websites or otherwise. If All Stars later learns that any User is under the age of 13, All Stars shall take appropriate steps to remove that User’s information from the database and restrict that User’s access to the All Stars Websites.
User Profile and Password
All Stars may provide you with the opportunity to register. If you register, you will have access to your personal information and you may update, correct, or delete your user information and email subscription preferences at any time by going to the log-in section of the All Stars Websites.
Your registration information is accessible online only through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of your personal information, you must keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all uses of the All Stars Websites by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused or otherwise misappropriated.
We use reasonable security measures in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. However, we cannot guarantee protection of all information in all cases. Therefore, you transmit any information to us at your own risk. Additionally, we have no control over the security of other sites you might visit.
If we learn of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. All Stars may post a notice on the All Stars Websites if a security breach occurs. We may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us in these circumstances. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice) you should notify us.
If the User does not wish to receive promotional e-newsletters, e-mail messages, or e-mail or postal mailings about All Stars’ programs, they must inform All Stars by e-mailing email@example.com with “unsubscribe” in the subject line.
