SF Achievers join All Stars in the 555 California Street Tree Lighting Celebration

Young men from SF Achievers joined All Stars Helping Kids Founders, Ronnie and Karen Lott, as well as the All Stars Helping Kids staff to celebrate the 10th Annual 555 Holiday Tree Lighting in San Francisco. SF Achievers is a nonprofit based in San Francisco that serves young African American men through scholarships, mentors and summer internship/employment opportunities, to ultimately help them attain academic success.

The young men and the Executive Director of SF Achievers, Gregory Collins, were invited to the historic 555 California Street location where they were warmly greeted and invited for a special tour of the Supercell office, located on the highest floor of the building, the 52nd floor. Here they got a chance to explore the unique workspace and learn about the success of Supercell, as well as the perks that employees enjoy every day. Inspired by the environment and scope of work, the SF Achievers asked questions regarding steps that needed to be taken to work in a similar arena.

They were happy to find that the college degree they were pursuing would be more than enough to enjoy the same benefits as their kind and encouraging tour guide, Tasha Dial, Office Operations Manager with Supercell Following their tour, the Achievers met with Ronnie & Karen, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, and had an opportunity to engage in an inspiring conversation with Ronnie before ultimately joining him on stage for the beneficiary check presentation to All Stars Helping Kids. The young men walked away expressing their gratitude and marking this event as an unforgettable experience.

We at All Stars were elated to share our evening with these inspiring young men, and look forward to potential opportunities with them and their organization in the future!
